Greetings from your new IAR Board of Directors,
We are excited to do our best to be worthy stewards of this great organization that was founded by many of our great friends back in 1991 and live its values by bringing our community together with food and heritage, promote Iranian culture and traditions, and facilitate communication and cooperation between Iranian-Americans and other residents of the area.
Now that the Khordadegan picnic is upon us, we want to send out a reminder that the ancient story of Khordad was told to be the guardian of the water. In the material world, water gives fertility to the land and is the source of prosperity. Khordad is taken as the possessor of plenty and prosperity, and food and drink are his/her gifts. Please join us and bring your favorite dish to share with the rest of our friends. We are looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday, June 4th.
Please make every effort to join us and make the event more exciting with your presence. Click HERE for flyer to the event with details.
Please let those who have not got our emails know too. The event is open to all members or non-members. Students are welcome!
The IARNY activities are open to all interested in Iranian culture.
